Little known to English tourists, La Chartreuse offers the authentic alpine experience. This calm mountain retreat also provides an ideal location for language learning. Courses can be arranged on request. La Grange is situated Just a short distance from the spectacular Cirque de St. Même with it’s 300 metre high cliffs and tumbling waterfalls. St. Pierre d'Entremont, the local town, is 5 kms distance and has a wide range of shops including an organic butchers, a superb cheese shop, a well-stocked mini supermarket, two cash machines, a post office and petrol station .
Enjoy the stunning scenery, superb walking, mountain biking/winter skiing, snow shoe tours and other mountain sports. Children’s activities are also available as are quiet visits to the Carthusian Monastery and other sites of artistic and cultural interest.
